James 2:1-13 - Favoritism / Mercy

James faced a situation where Christians were tempted to esteem external circumstances above character, creating a community of classification rather than one of compassion. Just as these were threats to James' community they're threats to ours. Reflect on the following as you personally consider James 2:1-13 

1.    How have you acted as though wealth is a marker of worth?

2.    Are you in danger of showing partiality or favoritism in some way? How? 

1. How will you repent and believe, allowing the gospel to change your heart?

3.    Reflect on God's mercy to you in Christ. Who do you need to extend the same quality of mercy to today?
